Basic Thinkorswim Requirements for a PC or Mac The basic system requirements for the average trader with a PC to run Thinkorswim are a Windows 7 operating system (or 10.10+ for Mac users), Intel Core i3+ processor, four gigabytes of RAM, and 500 megabytes of hard drive space. Question: Q: Why does thinkorswim hang under OS X 10.11.2? I have been using the Thinkorswim trading platform (TOS) since 2011. Today I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan and TOS stopped working. Im assuming that work around works from what was copied over from another 10.10 mac OS. This is the only Mac I own. Were you able to get that to work with a clean install of thinkorswim from the installation program? Please let me know, Thankyou.
Another TradingView port...Looking forward to thoughts, feedback, backtests, etc... Here's some additional information regarding the Intraday Momentum Index, courtesy of LazyBear:
The Intraday Momentum Index (IMI), developed by Tushar Chande, is a cross-breed between RSI and Candlestick analysis. IMI determines the candle type that dominated the recent price action, using that to pinpoint the extremes in intraday momentum. As the market tries to bottom after a sell off, there are gradually more candles with green bodies, even though prices remain in a narrow range. IMI can be used to detect this shift, because its values will increase towards 70. Similarly, as the market begins to top, there will be more red candles, causing IMI to decline towards 20. When the market is in trading range, IMI values will be in the neutral range of 40 to 60.
